Douglas Barnett: Musician/Bassist
A versatile freelance musician who began playing the bass guitar in 1972; Douglas is one of Seattle's finest and busiest musicians. Recording, performing and touring with a number of local and national artists like Deniece Williams, Hank Crawford, Phillip Bailey, Jeff Kashiwa and Joyce Cooling.

Douglas' bass and vocal talents are on hundreds of radio station jingle packages as part of the GMI Media production team in Seattle, and can be heard all around the world from Noti Radioin Puerto Rico, to KJR FM Seattle...from KBEQ Kansas City, to KOOL FM in Sacramento.

Douglas is a composer/arranger for Disk Eyes Productions, which delivers professionally produced custom music content for Television, Radio, Movies, Commercials and a variety of other concept applications. Among the companies currently licensing Douglas' compositions are: Discovery Channel, Sony, The WB, CNN, Wells Fargo, TNT, Muzak, Tonka, The Sharper Image and many others.

His stellar musicianship, versatility and professionalism have placed him in great demand for both recording sessions and live performances.

Brian Davies
Although Brian Davies is not as famous as Glenn Yarbrough (Brian's words not Glenn's as Glenn believes Brian is the best banjo and 12 string guitar picker in the world!), he's not as old either!  Working as part of the critically acclaimed duo Maffitt and Davies (Capital Records) he was heard by Glenn at the Troubadour in Hollywood in the 60's.  Maffitt and Davies were hired as Glenn's opening act and as his instrumentalists.  When Clark Maffitt departed four years later to pursue as career as a solo artist, Brian decided to remain with Glenn and played with him for another 16 years.  Brian has also appeared or recorded with Dory Previn, Malvina Reynolds, Kenny Rogers, Mack Davis, The Road Dogs, the Lazy B Wranglers, the Kingston Trio, the Limeliters.

After earning his 20 pin with Glenn, Brian entered nursing school and graduated in 1986.  He became supervisor at the East Los Angeles Retarded Citizen's Association, the largest Adult Day Health Care program in California.  He led this position for 16 years, retiring in January 2006.  When Glenn learned of his retirement, he hot-footed it to the phone and rehired him!  The rest will soon be history!

Charles "Chad" Quist
Chad grew up in the Bay Area where he began playing piano at age five. He took up guitar at ten and began studying with Jimmy Lyons (Eddie Money), Terry Maderas (Starship) and Jack Eskridge, along with other local Bay Area instructors.

From age seventeen to nineteen Chad attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. There he studied music theory, composition and all styles of guitar performance. After his college years, Chad relocated to Seattle to begin his professional career as a musician. His talents were soon sought after by some of the top local acts, from the top-40 scene, to casuals and original bands, doing everything from rock, pop and country to fusion and jazz. Some highlights were playing with local favorites where he had the chance to perform on stage with Kenny G, The Platters and Martha and the Vandellas.

Playing in some of Seattle's top acts also allowed Chad to open shows for artists such as Ray Charle s , Tower Of Power, George Benson, Rick Derringer, Head East, Diane Schuur, Dave Grusin, Lou Rawls, Larry Carlton, Basia, Huey Lewis and Jamie Foxx in venues such as The Seattle Center Coliseum, The Paramount Theatre, The Opera House and The Moore Theatre. In 1995 Chad began a ten year recording career with Muzak. In addition to appearing on close to one thousand Muzak cover tunes on their Environmental channel, he has over 20 of his original songs on worldwide rotation. He continues to write and record for Muzak today. In '96 he released his first CD with his band Paradigm Shift and in '99 he teamed up with partner Liz Aday to form Quistaday. Their release 'These Are The Days' was co-produced by veteran Bay Area engineer Wally Buck, and featured Steve Smith (Journey) on drums with Paul DeLisle (Smash Mouth) and Geoff Stanfield (Black Lab) on bass.

The CD received national distribution (Groovehouse Records) and the band scored an opening slot for Pat Benatar on her 2 000 summ er tour. In 1997, Chad landed a touring gig with Big Brother And The Holding Company, of Janis Joplin fame. His travels with Big Brother have brought him to Europe numerous times as well as Hawaii and throughout the continental U.S. The band has toured on bills with Vanilla Fudge, Canned Heat and Booker T. and the MG's. In the future, Chad would like to continue to sit in the producer's chair for his own records as well as other artists. Chad is a voting member of NARAS and a writer and publisher member of ASCAP. 

Rob Pearsall
Performing on drums, acoustic guitar, banjo and vocals, Rob has spent a lifetime backing up artists in many genres; country, folk, rock, funk, gospel and Broadway to name a few. His first “gig” was at age twelve playing drums in a community theater presentation of “Guys and Dolls”. Growing up in California, his teens and twenty’s saw songwriting and recording added with his participation in various bands not only as instrumentalist and singer but now as producer and arranger. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from California State University at Dominguez Hills and served the next dozen years leading church music departments adding to his titles, orchestrator and conductor. He and his family moved to Washington State in the early nineties where Rob has continued to utilize his talents in a multitude of venues along with other Northwest artists. He is the owner of Rip Street Audio (ripstreetaudio.com) which creates music, sound effects and voices for video games making him now a composer, sound designer and voice-over artist. Look for Rob to bring utility and depth to the Havenstock River Band.

Gary Ballard
Seattle area Gary Ballard began his musical career in 1964. Influenced by various musical styles including rock, bluegrass, western swing, smooth jazz, blues, funk, country and folk, Gary has established himself as one of the most diverse and accomplished guitarists in the Northwest.

Gary's talent for producing, arranging, and songwriting have placed him in high demand for recording sessions and live performances. He has shared the stage and/or studio with Charlie Daniels, Hoyt Axton, B.J. Thomas, David Kersh, Michael Tomlinson, Ricky Skaggs, Trisha Yearwood, Tim McGraw, Holly Dunn, Exile, Leroy Parnell, America, Blood Sweat and Tears, Mavericks, Grant Goodeve, as swell as a host of local Seattle Artists including Tim Noah, Kellee Bradley, James Curley Cooke, Chris Ward, Barbara Lamb, Josephine Howell, Paul Richardson, Kevin Wade Juma to name a few.

In addition to acoustic, electric, and pedal steel guitars, Gary is highly skilled on the mandolin, 5-string banjo, and Dobro. "Away with Words", the title of Gary's solo Smooth Jazz CD features Gary's original instrumentals.
